Free School Meals
Since September 2014 every child in Reception and Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2) is entitled to
a free school meal under the Universal Free School Meals scheme. We would like to encourage you to also apply for Income Related Free School Meals if you think they may be eligible.
For the 2025/2026 academic year, every child that is registered for Income Related Free School Meals the school gets an extra £1,515 through ‘pupil premium’ funding. This extra funding for school is used for things such as:
• Educational provision/resources
• Wellbeing and self-esteem building interventions
• KS2 Second Chance Breakfast
• Interventions to support learning in a variety of curriculum areas
• To help fund school trips and activities
