Phonics starter - Lesson 34 (part 1) - Reception

Our Reception Letters and Sounds Phonics lessons teach children to read letters and begin to blend to read words.

Maths starter

On purple mash there is a 2do for you to complete around capacity. Can you give this a go! How many can you get right!

Phonics

Please do not complete until after the phonics zoom as we are supporting you in your learning to complete this during the session.

Today we have attached a document where you can draw a line to match the pictures to the words. If you cannot print this you can have a go at writing the words and drawing your own picture to go with it.

Maths - Please complete after the zoom session

Today we want you to get messy! You can use water/sand or whatever you have to fill the different containers!

Can you gather 5 containers that are roughly the same size... when you have done this can you have a go at making them show the following?

Full  Empty  Half full   nearly full and nearly empty

Topic - Going to the Hospital

Below is a video story of 'Topsy and Tim go to the Hospital'. Have you ever had to go to hospital? Do you know why? Who looked after you if you have had to go?

We have also attached some X-ray pictures so that you can see what different parts of our bodies look like through an X-ray. Can you create your own Xray image using things around your house for a collage or draw one?

Can you make a poster about going to the hospital and why you would have to go there? Use the power point below to get some ideas about hospitals to help you.

PE!

Today we want you to get outside if you can! Go for a walk, ride your bike or scooter even if its raining! Try and get outside for at least 15 minutes to burn off some energy! Can you spot any animals on your walk? Any birds? Use the form below to see how many different types of birds you can spot on your walk. Can you send us the final amount of each?
