WALT divide 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers
Zoom lesson 1
Today we will be building on the skills we have developed over the last two days when dividing two digit numbers using Part Part Whole models.
We will today use a Part Part Part Whole model to divide a 3 digit number. We will then need to partition the number (dividend) into multiples of the divisor (number we are dividing by).
We then need to find the quotient (answer) for each calculation by adding up each part. Sometimes you may be able to partition a three-digit number into two parts rather than three. It is up to you to choose whether you partition the dividend into two or three parts.
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS USE JOTTINGS TO SUPPORT YOU!
