English
WALT: Use conjunctions
We have learnt about conjunctions before but we need to remember to use them to extend our sentences.
Conjunctions join together two different, but related, parts of a sentence.
They can be words like: and, but, so, because
For example: I like swimming and she likes dancing.
'Because' is a really useful conjunction. We can use it to explain how or why something is the case.
For example: I felt sick because I went on the roller coaster twice!
Today you will be using conjunctions to explain how you feel. You could use some of the feelings you have learnt about or some from the word mat below.
You will be continuing to act in the role of Otto.
For example:
I feel ............................................. because ...........................................
I feel worried because my father is leaving me to get some fish.
Your task
You can fill in the gaps using a feeling and a conjunction or you can write your own sentences using a range of conjunctions.

3. or you could count in 5s
5, 10, 15
Twist it
Some of the calculations have missing numbers.

so 4 lots of 5 equals 20.
Deepen it
You need to compare the 2 number sentences using the correct symbols,

Science
WALA: Habitats
Your task for today is to look at the powerpoint and read about different types of habitats think about ,
What climate does the habitat have?
Who lives there and why?
Where will you find this habitat?
What animals and plants survive there?
To help you find additional information if you click on the link below it will take you to bbc bitesize and they have a few short clips about different habitats ( you may have watched these last week)
Once you have researched into habitats and there is a sorting activity for you to have a go at. You will need to sort the facts in to the correct habitat. If you can not print the activity you can write the name of the habitat and then copy the facts that belong in that habitat for example:
Ocean Arctic
Some creatures crawl It is very cold here all
over the bottom and burrow year round.
beneath in this habitat.
As a purple for push you could add in the extra information that you found out from the videos or even add in a different habitat and facts about it that you have researched into.
