Can you use them in a sentence?
Sometimes we use the same words over and over again but we want to make our writing more exciting! Synonyms are words with the same or similar meanings. For example: 'joyful' is a synonym for 'happy'. We often see the words happy and sad used so we will be learning to use different words to improve our vocabulary and our writing too.

In this lesson, you need to read the feelings words and try to work out what kind of feeling they might be. Then you need to sort them into the correct boxes.
Are they very happy (e.g.excited) words?
Are they happy words?
Are they confused or unsure words?
Are they sad words?
Lots of the words will be new to you, can you find out what they mean?
WALT: Use arrays
An array in maths is an arrangement of objects, numbers or pictures in columns or rows. The purpose of an array is to help children understand multiplication and division.

In this picture, the first one shows 3 rows of 4 dots, we say this is 3 x 4 or 4 + 4 + 4.

Today you need to write the multiplication sentences for each drawing (array). Use the multiplication symbol and find out the answer. Arrays are useful when first learning mutliplication as you can use pictures or counters and count them to help you.
Here is 2 rows of 4 so this would be 2 x 4 = 8
Please note it could also be 4 columns of 2 so 4 x 2 = 8.
Geography WALT: Identify the continents
Today we are learning about the continents of the world. Try learning them by listening to the song and finding out more on the powerpoint. Then label the continents on the map.
