Morning Job

Today we would like you to read the alien words below. What sounds can you see in these words?

 

 

Can you choose an alien and write a very short story about it?

It can be as silly as you like but remember to use your phonics to help you with your spelling smiley

MATHS

Please remember, your child should be spending 1 hour on Maths a day. Half an hour of this lesson is delivered on zoom and the second half an hour is available in Teach it, Twist it and Deepen it activities. Please do not access these activities until after the Zoom session. Thank you.

WALT count in 5s

Today we will be continuing to count in 5s.

PHONICS

You should be spending half an hour a day on your phonics activities.

Today we will be recapping the sounds from the online book you looked at yesterday. 

Try reading these words below using the alternate graphemes for 'igh'.

 

Your task today is to look at the pictures and spell the words using the correct grapheme.

WALT represent poetry

 

Today we are going to be using pictures and actions to help represent the poem,

'On the Ning, Nang, Nong'.

The pictures and actions will help us to remember the poem and allow us to perform it.

You can make up any actions or pictures linked to each sentence, something that will help you remember the words. 

 

 

Your task is to have a go at drawing pictures for each line of the poem, you can use one or two pictures as long as it helps you to remember the words.

Today we are going to be learning about pitch. This is how high or low the notes sound. 

Read through the powerpoint below to find out more and take part in the activities. 

PE WALT move and change direction with a ball

 

This half term we are going to be focusing on striking and kicking drills. 

The first skill we are going to learn is how to move with a ball and change direction.

This is known as dribbling.

 

Here are 3 key skills to help you when dribbling. 

 

Have a go at dribbling in an open space with an adult.
