We have been reading the story of 'The Disgusting Sandwich,' which is all about a hungry badger and the journey of a sandwich through the park. Follow the link below to watch the story.
WALT: Retell events
We have been learning about the features of a diary. We found out that a diary is usually written in first person (I), has time adverbials (First, next, then, after), includes feelings or opinions (it was delicious, I was miserable). A good piece of writing also includes adjectives (warm day, noisy park, gritty sand) and conjunctions (and, but, so, because).
Today we will plan our diary by drawing a journey map. This is a plan of the diary through pictures. See the example below.
Task 1: Draw the journey of the badger from the start of the story until the squirrel drops the sandwich.
Task 2: Label the pictures with feelings and adjectives that you could use in your writing.

Can you try this today on your own? See today's task and a link to a game and a song below. The game challenges you to find 3 numbers in a fact family as quickly as you can.
