WALT: Make equal groups by sharing

Today we will begin to look at division and its is important that all groups are EQUAL! When we are dividing, we often using sharing circles.

In this example, we will share the sweets between 2 people, so there will be 2 sharing circles.

Here are the sharing circles, so 8 sweets shared into 2 equal groups is 4.

Today, you will practise sharing into equal groups. You can do this by drawing circles and little crosses inside to represent the amount or you can share counters or other object like lego if you have them.
