Morning Job

Our new tricky word is:

Read the word. Remember tricky words cannot be sounded out like most of the words we read in phonics.

 

When you are confident you can read the word,

 

Look at it, say it, cover it, write it, check it

 

If you spell it correctly 3 times in a row, write a sentence with the word 'oh' in.

MATHS

Please remember, your child should be spending 1 hour on Maths a day. Half an hour of this lesson is delivered on zoom and the second half an hour is available in Teach it, Twist it and Deepen it activities. Please do not access these activities until after the Zoom session. Thank you.

WALT understand 10s and 1s within 50

 

Today we are going to be using tens and ones to count numbers within 50.

We need to remember that 10 ones are equal to 1 ten. 

 

It is important for us to understand what numbers respresent. For example, 

 

Have a go at the worksheets below and see if you can work out how many tens and ones are in numbers to 50. 

PHONICS

You should be spending half an hour a day on your phonics activities.

WALT use questions marks 

 

Today we will be learning about using question marks. 

 

If you have to respond or give an answer to the sentence then it is a question. 

For example ...

 

Is it cold outside?

This person is asking if it is cold and they would like an answer. This is a question.

 

It is cold outside. 

This person doesn't need an answer and is telling you about the weather. This is a simple sentence.

 

Your task is to read the sentences and decide if they need a full stop or a question mark.

Computing WALT create a picture

 

Today we would like you to create a digital picture using Purple Mash. 

This has been set as one of your to dos for today.

2Paint a Picture allows you to design your own pictures using a range of tools.

Your picture can be of anything that you want it to be, get creative!!

We can't wait to see your pictures. 

 

When you have sent us your pictures, use this afternoon to catch up on any other Purple Mash activites that you have left to do. 

If you have completed them all, have a go at some of the games and activities on there that you have not tried yet.
