Remote Learning

Our remote learning pages are up and running. You can click on your child’s year group star and see all of the great work that is being uploaded every day.

The Government guidance suggests that primary age children complete 3 hours of structured work a day when working at home.

As a school, we are providing up to 5 hours of work to ensure the children in school (Key Workers and vulnerable) and the children at home have the same access and opportunities to learning. If the school was open the children would complete 5 hours of learning, therefore you can choose to do as little or as much of the learning we provide.

Please do not feel pressure to complete all of the work. We know this is a difficult time and home schooling is challenging. We are simply providing the work for you to use as you please. There is no pressure to complete it all.

Purple Mash

Purple Mash is a fantastic learning platform that allows your children to engage with the teachers. Teachers will set work and children will be able to complete and submit it back to the teachers. The teachers will mark this and reply with a comment– what a great way to keep in touch.

Your child’s log in details were sent home in a letter before Christmas or you might find them in their Home Learning Diary, if you cannot find this please contact your year group email and request to be sent their log in details again.

Zoom Lessons

We are really excited to restart our Zoom lessons to make our Remote Learning even more exciting and interactive. We are looking forward to seeing all of the children who are learning at home attending the 30 minute sessions.

If you have not yet downloaded Zoom and set up a login, you will need to do so before you can attend a lesson.

Follow this link and set up a free account today:

Please make sure your username is your child’s full name so the teacher can identify them and admit them to the class.

How to join a lesson

Once you have set up an account you will need to sign in and click on the tab in the top right corner called ‘JOIN A MEETING’.

Enter the meeting ID from the table below for your children Remote Group then enter the password. You will have received this information in a text message.

You will then be admitted to the waiting room. The teachers will let you in when the lesson begins.

Please ensure your child’s speaker is muted unless they are asked to unmute.

Please read the Zoom rules below, share them with your child and ensure they are adhered to.

Zoom lessons are 30 minutes and will provide your child with the input to their lesson. The follow up work will be on the website. Please ensure children do not complete this work before the Zoom lesson.

Children at home have been allocated a Remote Learning Group, meeting ID and Password via text message. If you have not received this by 9:00am on Thursday 7th January, please contact the year group emails for assistance or ring the school office.
