English
Today we are learning about suffixes. A suffix is a letter or a group of letters that go on the end of a word and it changes or adds to the word's meaning. Suffixes can show if a word is a noun, an adjective, an adverb or a verb.
There are lots of suffixes, today we are going to focus on the suffixes ment, ness, ful, less and ly.
If a suffix starts with a consonant letter then you add it to most root words without changing the spelling.
