SPaG WALT sort tenses
When we talk about things that are happening now, we call this the present.
When we talk about things that have already happened, we call this the past.
Walk, wash, play and wait are all present tense verbs. We use them in sentences to explain what is happening now:
I walk to the shop.
I wait for my Mom.
I can play at the park.
When we want to use the past tense, we use past tense verbs.
Walked, washed, played and waited are all past tense verbs. Can you see how the verbs have changed?
We use these verbs in sentences to explain what has already happened:
I walked to the shop.
I waited for my Mom.
I can played at the park.
Now have a go at sorting the verbs in your activity below and even challenge yourself to the extension pages.
Each subject should take you an hour to complete.
