Spring 2
Today we have looked at different types of Natural Disasters and discussed and defined the vocabulary ' NATURAL' and 'DISASTER'.
We designed, built and painted our own volcanoes - ready for them to ERUPT at the end of the day!

Home learning
In year 3, children are expected to complete three pieces of homework a week. This can be anything from attending clubs, swimming lessons, spelling practise, reading, practising times tables, handwriting, topic research and helping at home.
You will have lots of homework ideas for each topic on the back of every Learning Leaflet.
Each entry in your child's Home Learning Diary will receive one merit.
15 merits = Bronze
20 merits = Silver
25 merits = Gold
At the end of the half term the children's merits will be converted into learning loot to spend in the homework hut. Please support the children with their learning at home.
Spellings
The children will receive new spellings every Friday and will be tested the following Friday. Practising their spellings can be written in their SPaG books to gain even more merits. If your child has lost their spellings, please don't hesitate to ask for a spare copy.
PE
We have indoor PE on a Tuesday afternoon and outdoor PE on a Friday afternoon.
Please ensure that your child comes to school in P.E. kit on these days.
Look out for your child's login to practise their times tables at home!
Ukuleles must be in school every Thursday!
Our challenge is to get everybody to at least a bronze award every half term!
REMEMBER! if you use Bug Club and your child reads the online books write it in the home learning diary.... every merit counts.
