Summer 1 Term

What a busy term we are having! Take a look on the Summer 1 - Minibeast Mayhem star below to see what has been happening in 1OB.

(The butterflies have hatched! You can find pictures if you scroll down to the bottom of the Summer Term 1 star page)

Reception children will have Forest School (Outdoor Learning) with Starfish class on WEDNESDAYS.  Please make sure you are dressed for the weather and have a pair of wellies to leave at school. When in the forest we need to make sure our arms and legs are covered so please make sure you are wearing long trousers and have a jacket/ jumper to wear to cover arms. We go out in all weather no matter the rain!

Speech and Language Therapy

There are lots of wonderful resources on the Worcestershire Speech and Language Therapy website and Facebook page. Please take a look by following the links below. On their website, under the Parents Activities at Home tab, you can find videos of some of the activities that your child will be doing in school with their therapist and our class TA.

Please also take a look at our Video Resource Centre. On here, you will find some video clips of Signalong (which we use in class every day). Included are the name signs for all the adults and children in the class. This might help when you are talking with your child about their day. The Signalong video clips will be added to, so please do check back regularly.

We're really starting to get into the festive spirit now......

Today we enjoyed an amazing pantomime performance. We went on a magical journey with a pair of elves, helping them to create magic for Father Christmas.

The children were so excited to see Father Christmas in the show!

We also received a letter from Father Christmas today. He has told us that our classroom elves have noticed all the hard work that the children have been doing this term. So he has asked them to write him a letter with their Christmas wish-list. We will be busy writing letters in English this week!

Christmas Crafting!

We have been busy making crafty items for our christmas trees. We have made some salt dough decorations. Look out for these, they will be coming home in the last week of term. We made a bit of a mess with the flour! It was like it was snowing inside! But it was lots of fun! smiley

Home Learning Websites

We really hope the whole class will be able to achieve a reward at the end of this half term for their home learning! Useful logins can be found in the front of your Home Learning Diary.
