Dear Parents / Carers,

All the children, staff and governors would like to welcome you to Matchborough First School & Nursery.

Our school caters for children from the age of 3 - 9 years.  The school also has a Nursery offering free places (5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions), a language unit for children with speech and language disorders and a Nursery Plus for children with Special Educational Needs.

At school we are committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere where staff and children work together to create a happy, safe, caring and stimulating learning environment in partnership with parents, governors and the local community.

Matchborough First School is a community school which opened on its present site in 2003.  In September 2008 we opened our new ICT Suite, School Library and Learning Together Room.  The school also includes many features that support the sustainability agenda; a harvesting system that uses rainwater to flush toilets and a landscape water drainage system.

The website aims to give you a tast of school life, as well as providing regulary information for both parents and pupils.
