Welcome to the Nursery Page!
The children are all settling well, and becoming familiar with our Nursery routines.
We are all getting to know each other, making new friends, and having fun. Our little friend Loala, the leopard cub, comes to visit us to help everyone to listen and reinforce the rules of ‘good listening’.
Everyone is enjoying a range of activities, both indoors and outdoors. We have started to go into the hall for P.E., and look forward to visiting Forest School within the next few weeks.
In Nursery, we follow the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Planning is broken down into six areas of learning and development
· Personal, Social and Emotional Development
· Communication, Language and Literacy
· Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
· Knowledge and Understanding of the World
· Physical Development
· Creative Development
Each area is equally important, and inter-related. Every day your child will participate in planned, purposeful play activities in all six areas, some adult-led and some child-initiated.
Planning for Nursery activities can be found on the parents’ notice board, informing you of your child’s activities in Nursery.
Each Friday your child will take home a ‘Home Links’ sheet. This reflects the work we have undertaken during the week and keeps you informed and involved in your child’s work.
If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to speak to us.
