Matchborough First School Academy are excited to be taking part in 'No Pens Wednesday' on Wednesday 3rd October 2018. This is a special day that promotes the importance of speaking and listening skills. Many schools throughout the country will also be taking part. We do this because we know how important speaking and listening skills are to develop the children's learning, social and communication skills. We will be encouraging good classroom talk that will support the learning that the children are currently engaged in. It will be a fun and exciting day for all building on the children's speaking and listening skills!
'No Pens Wednesday' is run by 'The Communication Trust.' They have produced information sheets with lovely activities that you may want to try with your children at home. There is one for Early Years (Nursery and Reception) and one for Primary (Years 1-4).
We have attached them below. Take a look and see. Have fun!
