Who's that guy?
We started this half term with a BANG! which lead us nicely into our new topic Who's that guy?We are learning all about Guy Fawkes and the gunpowder plot.
So far we have been able to use adjectives and similes to write some fantastic poems in the shapes of fireworks and bonfires
Whats that coming over the hill? ........ We have started the year with a Marvellous Monsters topic, so far we have had unusual deliveries, hairy hands, spotty tails and lots of eyes!
The children have used clues to make predictions and noun phrases to describe some strange characters.
Can you describe these monsters?
All children in the school are rewarded for reading and for learning at home. They will receive a merit every time they read and complete some homework and it is recorded in their log.
15 merits = Bronze
20 merits = Silver
25 merits = Gold
We have set the challenge and are aiming for every child to receive a certificate EVERY TERM!
Please support us in doing this.

The children will receive new spellings each week and will be tested the following Monday.
Practising their spellings can be written in their home learning diary to gain even more merits. If your child has lost their spellings, please don't hesitate to ask for a spare copy.
We have indoor PE on a Monday afternoon and Outdoor PE on a Friday afternoon.
Please ensure that your child has correct PE kit on those days and that it is named.
